Companion Animal Practice
Our companion animals are members of our families; they are part of our special circle that shares their lives from beginning to end. We raise them to behave as we see fit, we share our moments of joy and sadness with our companion animals, and our lives are enriched by the personalities that they bring. We love them as our own.
We care for our companion animals in sickness and in health. It is our responsibility to provide the best health care that we can for our domestic animals, as it is for all who are dependent upon us. As good health enriches the lives of all who possess it.
Peace of Mind
At Carter Road Companion Animal Practice, we have provided a general veterinary practice for almost 20 years. We have long had the modern equipment and skills that have benefited man’s best friends so much. And now, since early 2008, we have had something very special: a Picker PQ2000 Computed Tomography machine.
We are able to provide detailed imaging scans of dogs and cats from our own clients, or those referred by other vets. Images generated can be saved and interpreted, or referred for specialist interpretation, and the cases returned to the vet of origin with the images. Referring vets are welcome to discuss their case’s images with us, and are able to demonstrate the images to the client. We believe this service to be of great value to all concerned: especially the patient.
Computed tomography gives superior images in many, many cases. In human medicine, CT scanning has resolved millions of cases that traditional x-rays cannot solve. If you feel that your companion would benefit from CT scanning for a medical condition, please contact Carter Road Companion Animal Practice.
